3D RECONSTRUCTIONS

One of the Foundation's innovations is the three-dimensional reconstruction of ancient monuments and cities that have been partially or completely destroyed. The entire process, from the research stage for the scientific documentation of the 3D models to their construction, is carried out entirely in the Foundation's fully equipped 3D Reconstruction Laboratory. This lab produced the printed publication «Olympia: A Journey in Four Dimensions» and a set of twelve collectible postcards featuring selected images from the book.

The laboratory's work also resulted in the visualization of the buildings of ancient Olympia in their original form for their presentation in the Virtual Reality system «Kivotos» as well as in «Tholos» the new hemispherical Virtual Reality "Theater" of the «Hellenic Cosmos» Cultural Center.
